The Mural's Artist: Allan B. Hall
Alan B. Hall, a commercial artist and Yorba Linda resident, was consulted and then commissioned to paint the Robin Paul Memorial Mural. His keen interest in the history of Orange County, indeed with all of Southern California, evolved from his early childhood and stayed with him all of his life. This interest in history was the reason he chose the themes depicted in the mural.
Mr. Hall was a graduate of the School of Fine Arts at USC, and winner of four national awards. As the first art director for a small Fullerton Company named Hawaiian Punch, he developed the color concepts and lettering style still in use today. In 1956 he designed the layout for the first brochure heralding a brand new amusement park in Anaheim named Disneyland. Mr. Hall was a founder of the Orange County Art Association and member of the National Art Fraternity, Kappa Pi.
