About Yorba Linda Preservation Foundation
Founded in July 2010, the Yorba Linda Preservation Foundation (YLPF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a Board of Trustees that is dedicated to the preservation of Yorba Linda’s architectural heritage and rich legacy of history.
Our goal is to encourage architectural preservation through a process called adaptive reuse. Adaptive reuse occurs when an old church is converted into a meeting hall or an old house into an office or restaurant. The Trueblood House, now restored and the home of the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce, is a perfect example of adaptive reuse.
Our goal is to encourage historical preservation of the remarkable and abundant history of Yorba Linda by highlighting the early founders and pioneers of the city. Our website, brochures, and informational programs have been created for this purpose.
By partnering with others, our goal is to implement a means to preserve Yorba Linda’s wonderful history. The Yorba Linda Preservation Foundation’s partnership with the Save the Mural Coalition is an example of how preservation can be accomplished when many people band together with a goal in mind.
The Yorba Linda Preservation Foundation would like to partner with you or your organization to achieve our mission. We need your voices to help protect our future. Author Jessamyn West said it well when she wrote, “Writing of the past is a resurrection- The past then lives in your words and you are free.”
