About Yorba Linda Preservation Foundation
Founded in July 2010, the Yorba Linda Preservation Foundation (YLPF) is a nonprofit organization with a Board of Trustees that is dedicated to the preservation of Yorba Linda’s architectural heritage and rich legacy of history. Yorba Linda is not only the birthplace of our 37th President, Richard M. Nixon, but also the childhood home of author Jessamyn West who penned the book “The Friendly Persuasion,” which later became a Hollywood movie.
As our city has grown, the demand for much needed and affordable community space has grown with it. Many nonprofit, volunteer organizations and activity groups are looking for a space they can call home at a cost that won’t hurt their budget. Our goal is to provide that affordable space while preserving our architectural history through a process called adaptive reuse. Some examples of adaptive reuse are converting an old church to a meeting hall or an old house in to an office or a restaurant. Yorba Linda Preservation Foundation would like to partner with you or your organization to achieve our mission. Let’s keep Yorba Linda gracious by preserving our historic properties and giving them back to the community for everyone to enjoy. |
